The IAA Supports SEC’s Rule 15c2-11 Proposal

May 18, 2026

Contact: IAA VP of Communications & Marketing Janay Rickwalder
The IAA commends the SEC for proposing to codify that fixed income securities are not subject to a rule that governs publication of quotations for over-the-counter securities. That rule (Rule 15c2-11) was designed to address concerns in thinly traded equity markets and was never intended to apply to the bond market. We appreciate that the Commission plans to provide much-needed, lasting clarity for the bond market on this issue. We strongly support the Proposal and applaud the Commission for taking this important step.
