In this deep dive on generative artificial intelligence (AI), Microsoft veteran Pascal Belaud will lay out the definition of this emerging technology, potential use cases in financial services, customization, and privacy and security considerations. The final 30 minutes of the session will be devoted to Q&A and discussion.

Pascal Belaud is general manager for the Customer Success Data and AI Group at Microsoft US Financial Services, where he leads a group of 50+ specifically in charge of the Data and Artificial Intelligence business that focuses on building the next generation of machine learning models for customers across banking, insurance, and capital markets. In his current capacity, Belaud has been delivering executive briefings on generative AI to Microsoft’s financial services customers in the U.S. and abroad. He is a 25+ years Microsoft veteran and has worked in multiple roles at both Microsoft France and Microsoft US. He studied Chemical Engineering in Toulouse, France, and holds an executive MBA from ESSEC, Paris, France. 

Sanjay Lamba is associate general counsel at the IAA. Prior to joining the IAA, Lamba worked at SEC headquarters for 10 years, beginning his service in the rulemaking office of the Division of Investment Management before transferring to the Office of Chief Counsel (Legal Branch) in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations in 2010. Prior to the SEC, he was in private practice advising registered investment adviser and mutual fund clients on a wide range of matters arising under the federal securities laws. He received his B.S. degree in Finance from George Mason University and his law degree from Boston University.
