Fiduciary Duty and Investments in DC Plans

November 09, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (ET)

Plan fiduciaries are charged with acting in the best interests of plan participants.

What does that mean in practice, especially when it comes to selecting investments for defined contribution plans?

In this webinar, we’ll hear from two experts on how courts have interpreted fiduciary duties under ERISA, Alison Douglass and Christina Hennecken of the law firm Goodwin Procter, in conversation with Kevin Lyman, Director, Global Investment Initiatives, Invesco.

They’ll explain the nature of fiduciary duty in DC plans and how it has evolved through regulation and court decisions, and will provide practical tips on how plan sponsors can ensure that they’re pursuing participants’ best interests when they make decisions about investment lineups.
