The IAA is pleased that the SEC may modify and re-propose the safeguarding rule and predictive data analytics rule in light of the serious concerns raised by commenters, including the IAA. Both of these proposals are significantly flawed. The SEC may be rethinking its fundamental approach to these issues, and it is appropriate that it provide the opportunity for all affected parties to analyze and comment on any new approaches.
