Ms. Karen L. Barr (Investment Adviser Association)

Karen L. Barr has served as General Counsel of the Investment Adviser Association since March 1997. From 1989 to 1997, Karen was in private practice at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, where she represented clients with respect to SEC investigations, securities class action litigation, internal corporate investigations, and regulatory matters. Karen received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.

Mr. Alan P. Goldberg (K&L Gates LLP)

Alan P. Goldberg is a Partner at K&L Gates. His practice focuses on representing registered investment companies and their boards, investment advisers and sponsors to unregistered investment pools. Previously, Mr. Goldberg served as administrative partner to the investment management and financial services practice at a K&L Gates legacy firm. Before that, he served as counsel to Price Waterhouse LLP's investment management and regulatory consulting services, and as an enforcement attorney in the investment management section of the New York Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Alan received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Jennifer Klass (Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP)

Jennifer L. Klass is a partner in the Investment Management and Securities Industry Practice resident in the New York office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Jennifer counsels legal, business and compliance personnel on a broad range of securities regulatory matters associated with institutional and retail investment advisory businesses and high-net-worth brokerage platforms. Prior to joining Morgan Lewis, Jennifer was vice president and associate general counsel at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she advised its private wealth management and asset management businesses. She received her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 1997 and her B.A. from Lehigh University in 1992. She is admitted to practice in New York, the District of Columbia, and Pennsylvania.
