Webinar: Congress Considering Tax Law Changes Impacting Advisers

When:  Oct 14, 2021 from 15:45 to 16:30 (ET)

Panel Description

By the end of the month, Democratic leadership in Congress expects to pass both the bi-partisan $550 million infrastructure bill and a whittled-down version of the partisan $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation legislation. In order to offset its cost, the current spending bill includes scores of tax law changes that will affect advisers and their clients. It includes not only changes to capital gains and corporate rates, but also:

  • Adverse change to the tax treatment of ETFs
  • New IRA product mandates and restrictions
  • A cap on “Mega-Roth” accounts
  • A longer holding period for carried interest

These and related topics will be discussed by the experts at the bipartisan public policy firm Mindset.  Mindset is known for its deep expertise in financial services and tax policy and works with IAA in its Capitol Hill advocacy.

Questions may be submitted in advance to iaaevents@investmentadviser.org.
